Dr. Rekha  Shrivastava did her Doctorate in Sociology from the Universityof  Jamia  Millia Islamia, New Delhi.  Previously she has worked in Institutions like Jamia Millia Islamia, National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science, Govt. of India.  She has also contributed several Research Papers in reputed journals and edited volumes.  She has written a book on “Women and Crime in India: A study in Socio- Cultural Dynamics”. Presently, she is Assistant Professor in Sociology in Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Gurgaon
