LIBRARY & INFORMATION CENTRE

Library and Information Centre is the backbone of any Research & Training Institution. The rapid technological development has increased manifold the value of information dissemination. No research or training programme, or institutional development anywhere can be said to be pragmatic and complete if libraries don’t have a role in it, so is the case with HIPA too. The Institute has given due importance for the development of its library like any other academic activity.

HIPA library plays a vital role in meeting the present and anticipated future needs of its users – by selecting, acquiring and disseminating appropriate information. The library is well equipped with an air conditioned reading hall. It offers excellent library facilities with a stock of over 26000 up to date books on Public Administration, Management, Law, Economics, Sociology, Computers and other related social sciences. It has been primarily designed to function as a centre of learning resources within the framework of the Institute’s mission.

The library services are supported by well qualified manpower who are responsible for not only providing specific services but also documenting the process of development of Haryana. The library is in the process or renovation to cater to the technological needs of today.

Jogender Singh did his graduation from the Government College, Bhiwani, securing first division. on the professional side, he did Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Kurukshetra University in 1989, securing first division and first place in order of merit. He also obtained Master's Degree in Public Administration from Kurukshetra university in 1991. He has attended over a dozen professional courses, seminars, conferences and workshops at various leading institutions and has published over half a dozen papers / presentations in journals / proceedings of conferences, etc. His special interest is IT applications in Libraries. He is also a member of various professional institutions/bodies like ILA, HLA, etc. He started his career from Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, and is currently managing HIPA library .
